Hopkins School, an independent, gender-inclusive, college-preparatory day school in New Haven, Connecticut, with over 700 students in grades 7-12, is seeking a mathematics teacher.

The position includes teaching four sections of mathematics, preference given to candidates with the experience or ability to teach Geometry and/or Statistics. This full-time position also includes contributing to the student experience outside of the classroom, such as coaching a sport or academic team (matched with the candidate’s skills and experience) or working with students in the Academic Support Program. 

Full-time faculty members typically serve as an adviser for a group of 6-8 students in one grade; attend department, grade-level adviser, and faculty meetings; maintain verbal and written professional contact with students, colleagues and families; serve on one faculty committee; chaperone after-school student events; participate in the broader life of the School; and, support the school community by setting a positive example in all areas of school life.

Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field is required, an advanced degree is preferred. Secondary school teaching experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with post-secondary teaching experience will be considered.
