Villanova Preparatory School, a private, co-ed Catholic Augustinian college preparatory school
located in the beautiful Ojai Valley, is presently seeking an experienced math teacher for the
remainder of the 2024-25 school year. This position is 60-80%, depending on ability,
experience, and availability.

Villanova Preparatory School, operated under the ownership of the Augustinian Fathers, is
accredited by the Western Catholic Education Association and the Western Association of
Schools and Colleges. The school attracts highly talented and motivated students seeking a

Villanova Preparatory is seeking a mathematics teacher for the remainder of the 2024-2025
school year who brings passion and excitement to the classroom and is able to teach multiple
levels of the subject.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Be able to plan effective lessons that engage and challenge students.
• Communicate consistently with students, parents, and school personnel.
• Keep current and complete grading and attendance records.

Required Qualifications:

• Commitment to modeling the values of Catholic education.
• Undergraduate degree in mathematics or related field.
• Ability to work collaboratively to promote student learning.
• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Mathematics or related field.
• Experience teaching in a high school environment.
• Experience teaching IB or AP-level mathematics courses.
• Experienced with teaching courses that include Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, AP
  Calculus, AP Statistics and AP Computer Science.
• A California Single-Subject Credential in mathematics or related field.
• Experience with web-based learning and 1:1 iPad/MacBook classroom settings.
• Experience teaching in a Catholic or faith-based high school environment.

The annual full-time salary range for this position is $50,000 - $85,500, which will be prorated
based on the starting date. The starting salary is based upon, but not limited to, several factors
that include type and years of experience, education level, and expertise.

premiums; long-term and short-term disability insurance; and a 403(b) retirement plan. A
teacher must be at an 80% salary or higher to be eligible. Other eligibility rules apply.
