About Rosarian Academy Rosarian Academy, founded in 1925 by the Adrian Dominican Sisters, is the only independent Catholic school in Palm Beach County. Position Overview The Head of School at Rosarian Academy is the visionary and spiritual leader responsible for guiding the institution’s educational philosophy, operational strategies, and community engagement. This role is crucial in ensuring that Rosarian Academy remains a beacon of faith-based education in Palm Beach County, fostering an environment where academic excellence, spiritual growth, and a sense of community thrive. Key Responsibilities
Mission and Catholic Identity:
Uphold and promote the school’s Dominican, Catholic mission and values, ensuring the integration of faith formation throughout the curriculum and school life.
Serve as the spiritual leader of the school, embodying the Dominican charism of prayer, study, service, and community.
Collaborate closely with the school’s sponsor, Dominican Veritas Ministries, the local parish, and the Diocese to reinforce and strengthen the school’s Catholic identity across all aspects of its program.
Educational Vision & Curriculum Leadership:
Provide visionary leadership in the development, implementation, and enhancement of academic programs, ensuring they align with Catholic values and educational standards.
Lead the continuous improvement of curriculum design, instruction, and assessment practices, fostering an environment of intellectual rigor and academic success for all students.
Oversee the development and evaluation of school-wide curricular and extracurricular goals, promoting a holistic approach to student development.
Interpersonal Skills & Community Building:
Cultivate a strong sense of community within the school, building and maintaining positive relationships with students, families, faculty, staff, alumni, and the broader community.
Strengthen the professional development of teachers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous growth and excellence in teaching and learning.
Foster traditions, relationships, and practices that reflect and enhance the Dominican charism and the school’s Catholic identity and culture.
Engage with external stakeholders to enhance the school’s reputation and foster partnerships that support the school’s mission and growth.
Provide strategic oversight of the school’s operations, including financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation, ensuring long-term fiscal responsibility.
Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement policies that support the school’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.
Advise the Board on school matters while maintaining a clear distinction between governance and management roles.
Provide the Board with regular reports and data to inform decision-making.
Oversee student enrollment and admissions, ensuring alignment with the school’s values and goals.
Advancement & Strategic Planning:
Lead the school’s advancement efforts, including fundraising, marketing, and enrollment management, to ensure the school’s growth and sustainability.
Inspire donor confidence and cultivate relationships with potential benefactors, aligning fundraising efforts with the school’s strategic priorities.
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan that addresses the long-term needs of the school, including facilities, technology, and academic programs.
Qualifications
A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, with an unwavering commitment to Catholic education.
Master’s degree or higher in educational administration or a related field.
A minimum of five years of teaching and administrative experience in an independent school environment, with a preference for Catholic school leadership experience.
Proven expertise in curriculum development and a deep understanding of educational excellence across a range of learning styles.
Demonstrated experience in leading a Pre-K through Grade 8 student body and faculty.
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong financial acumen and experience in managing school operations, including budgeting and resource allocation.
A strategic thinker with a track record of successful long-term planning and implementation.
