The Rebecca M. Sykes Wellness Center at Phillips Academy has an open position for an experienced RN -
The following is the schedule:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (8a – 5p); Friday (7:30a – 6p)
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (8a-5p)
Week 3: Monday & Tuesday (8a-5p); Friday & Saturday (3:30p – 11:30p)
Week 4: Sunday (3:30p-11:30p); Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (8a – 5p)
This scheduled is for the academic year plus summer session (approx.. 5 weeks).
General Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care for a diverse group of students both on an ambulatory and extended care basis.
- Provides appropriate primary nursing care through professional clinical nursing skills including assessment, care, referral, support and management of all students who come to the RMS Wellness Center.
- Identifies, assesses, evaluates and provides nursing care for acute, chronic and episodic health conditions.
- Provides urgent and emergency nursing care to students who present to the RMS Wellness Center.
Ideal Candidate
- Must have strong assessment skills, be comfortable working independently, and enjoy working with the adolescent population.
- Strong communication, organizational and time management skills are imperative.
- Computer skills are required and experience with electronic medical records is strongly preferred.
- Professional RN looking for a positive work environment and works collaboratively as part of a team.

Requirements
- A MA RN license in good standing.
- BSN or higher level education preferred.
- Current CPR/AED certification required.
- 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse required.
- Experience in Adolescent Medicine, school health, ambulatory care, urgent care/orthopedic or reproductive health care preferred.
