Position Overview. Christchurch School seeks a full-time Math Teacher. This is an opportunity for an educator to join a department engaged in implementing a constructivist quantitative reasoning curriculum within the broader context of a school that prioritizes relationships, agency, competencies, and the use of place (local, national, and international) to help guide students towards becoming compassionate, engaged, and successful global citizens.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Math or a related field or significant experience teaching math at the high school level.
Passionate about education as a profession and excited to learn or hone the craft of teaching
Candidates should be realistic and excited about teaching in a boarding school and in teaching math to college-bound high school students with a wide-range of mathematical backgrounds
Preferred
2-4 years teaching experience, preferably in a boarding or independent school
This position is also expected to participate in the school’s co-curricular program. Women’s and men’s soccer, volleyball, sailing, and football are specific areas of possibility but not required.
Work environment and physical demands:
Ability to work with a team of teachers and students outside of the classroom on multi-day field experiences
Ability to be mobile around campus and buildings
Ability to work at a desk and computer screen for extended periods
Some travel required (mainly for athletic competitions)
