Punahou School is seeking an experienced Social Emotional and Ethical Learning (SEEL) teacher for the Part Time Temporary Faculty position. This position will teach Support + Wellness courses, including AP Psychology and 9th Grade Health and Wellness. The Faculty will provide age-appropriate Health lessons focusing on skills-based health methods of teaching that relate to National Health Standards including, but not limited to, Human Development, Puberty, and Hygiene. This position will also serve as a member of the Academy Advisory team guiding a small group of students through graduation. Faculty are responsible for classroom instruction, conferences with students and colleagues, and active participation in ongoing curricular development.
Position Details:
Work Year: 9 Months
School Year: 2024-2025, Second Semester
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, Hours between 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Schedule may vary based on operational needs
Faculty Salary Range*: $58,380 - $118,097 - Compensation is commensurate with qualifications. Salary will be prorated based on instructional days.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology or relevant field. Master's degree is preferred.
Three (3) years of relevant teaching experience.
Demonstrated expertise in the subject area is required.
The ability to actively collaborate with colleagues.

The ability to see students' needs as a high priority and is readily and appropriately available to students outside of class during free periods for extra help.
