St. Thomas is seeking a 5th Grade Science Teacher who will Create a balanced instructional program and a class environment favorable to student learning and personal growth. Use various methods such as oral presentation, workshops, discussion, etc to provide instructions to individual students and class. Create an interactive classroom environment for students. Collaborate with subject area teachers on integrated projects that reinforce 21st century skills and learning. Motivate students to develop positive attitudes towards learning so that they acquire the knowledge needed for a strong academic foundation.
Knowledge of differing student learning styles, cooperative learning, and differentiation
Strong instructional methods and classroom management skills
Expertise in developing and teaching science
Mastery of and enthusiasm for the subject matter
Strong instructional and classroom management skills
