The Assistant Director of Admission is a member of a team dedicated to the recruitment and enrollment of students who are best served by Emma Willards School’s mission. The position is responsible for developing positive relationships with prospective students and families throughout the admissions process. The Assistant Director will also support admission event planning and attend admissions events off campus to promote the school. The position will also work closely with the Director of GrilSummer to plan and execute the 4-week summer program at Emma Willard School.
We seek someone with expertise in navigating today’s changing and diverse landscape and will help the School promote and nurture diversity, equity, access and inclusion. Essential Responsibilities:
Travel domestically to represent the School at recruitment events
Interview prospective students and their parents/guardians
Maintain and build new relationships with Community Based Organizations (CBOS) which support underrecognized groups
Read applications and serve on the admissions selection committee
Partner with the office in all aspects of engagement, outreach and recruitment
Support the visit and event manager in the planning and execution of on-campus events
Serve as the Assistant Director of the 4-week GirlSummer program
Performs other assignments as necessary
Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of professional work experience

Ability to travel, sometimes overnight, to represent the school

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Finalsite Enrollment or other databases
Admissions experience
Interest in marketing and communications
Experience with summer camps/programs
Experience working in independent/boarding schools
Salary
$25 - $35 per hour based on education and experience.
