About the Role
We are seeking an engaging and dynamic educator to teach five sections of Latin to middle and upper school students. This role also includes serving as a grade-level advisor and contributing to the vibrant life of our school by coaching, advising extracurricular activities, or teaching within another academic department. You’ll have the opportunity to inspire students to develop their linguistic skills while fostering curiosity and a lifelong love of classical studies.

Is experienced in teaching across multiple levels and skilled in delivering comprehensible input in a supportive, low-anxiety environment.
Embraces feedback and demonstrates a commitment to lifelong learning.
Values innovation, collaboration, and empathy in the classroom.
Aligns their teaching with ACTFL Standards for Foreign Language Learning and the Standards for Classical Language Learning.
Preference will be given to candidates interested in contributing to the school’s broader community through coaching or sponsoring student organizations.
Core Responsibilities
Teach five sections of Latin across middle and upper school levels.
Serve as an advisor to 10-15 students, guiding their academic and personal growth.
Participate actively in school life, including supervisory duties, parent-teacher conferences, and admissions events.
Offer tutorial and extra support time for students from 3:15–3:45 PM daily.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the World Language curriculum and student engagement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced coursework or a Master’s degree preferred.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching middle and/or upper school students.
Proficiency in incorporating technology into teaching.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
Enthusiasm for being part of an active, collaborative faculty.
