National Cathedral School announces a search for a seventh-grade teacher in the History/Social Sciences Department of its Middle School (grades 7 and 8) beginning August 14, 2025. This position is a commitment to teach a full-time schedule of grade-seven World History classes and serve as an academic advisor to a group of middle school students. We seek candidates who have experience teaching at the middle school level. Primary source driven, our curriculum focuses on the development of students’ analytical thinking, critical reading, and persuasive writing skills.
Teachers are expected to be on campus from 7:45a.m. to approximately 4:00p.m. Responsibilities for this position include collaboration and full participation in a schoolwide social sciencedepartment to ensure excellent scope and sequence. Other responsibilities include participating in regular department, division, and faculty meetings, supervising one or more study halls, and serving as a homeroom advisor. For the position, NCS offers a salary range of $65,000-140,000 and a full benefits package, including professional development opportunities.
