Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks part-time Baseball Coaches for the Spring 2025 season. These part-time, seasonal, stipended positions begin in mid-February and end mid-May, although planning and communication outside of the season is required. The season includes a two-week Spring break with a Training Trip to Florida on March 23 through March 27, 2025.
Specific qualifications include significant experience with participating in and/or coaching competitive baseball. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and collegiate baseball experience is a plus. Qualified candidates will embrace the unique role of athletics in an independent school setting; have strong organizational skills; embrace and uphold team values (e.g., positive sportsmanship, character, compassion, integrity); have experience in teaching baseball concepts at intermediate to advanced levels; have experience in effectively managing relationships with athletes, coaches, and parents; and be able to attend practices and games.
Practices occur on weekdays with times varying between 3:30 – 6:00 PM. There are approximately 12-20 competition dates which may last beyond 5:30 PM.
Qualified candidates will also possess intellectual curiosity, strong communication skills, commitment to ongoing professional development, openness to others’ ideas, eagerness to extend themselves for others, and a sense of humor.
