The Lovett School, an independent, coeducational day school in Atlanta seeks an experienced Middle School English Department Head, supervising nine faculty members and overseeing the curriculum and instruction of all English courses offered at the middle school. This position will begin in July 2025. This includes setting department goals, developing and implementing curriculum, and providing professional development opportunities for department faculty. The department head also serves as a liaison between the department and the school administration and works closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive educational experience for students. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
