The Out-of-Door Academy seeks a Maintenance/Grounds Technician

Responsibilities - Reporting to the Campus Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance/Grounds Technician will be responsible for the following:

• Completes tasks necessary to ensure the meticulous upkeep of the grounds and facilities for multiple campuses at Lakewood Ranch, Siesta Key and/or Clark Road.
• Performs a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds at various facilities/sites, including, but not limited to: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and painting tasks. Performs minor troubleshooting, repairs and adjustments on furniture and equipment.
• Continuously inspects campuses for safety, aesthetic needs, and corrects accordingly.
• Live the school’s mission and core values of respect, integrity, service, excellence, and responsibility.

Qualifications - The following experience, skills & knowledge are required and/or preferred:

• High school diploma required.
• OSHA 10 certified required or must be obtained upon hire.
• Must have knowledge of and be comfortable working with technology.
• Self-directed individual who is solution orientated, flexible and works well with teams and individuals while possessing a positive attitude.
• Must hold a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Able to multi-task with exceptional attention to detail.
• Must possess strong verbal and organizational skills.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a 12-month full-time non-exempt position eligible for overtime and available immediately. Compensation is highly competitive and commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
