Role:
The role of the Director of Educational Technology will play a critical and pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of CWA. This leader will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive technology strategy that:
Enhances teaching and learning experiences.
Enhances student engagement and outcome.
Supports and optimizes administrative functions.
Ensures the security and integrity of the school's data systems.
The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in educational technology, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for advancing the school’s mission through innovative technology solutions. This role will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will collaborate closely with academic and operational teams to achieve strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Vision: Develop and implement a forward-thinking technology strategy aligned with the school’s mission and goals.
Curriculum Integration: Collaborate with educators to seamlessly integrate technology into teaching practices, fostering innovation and student engagement.
Leadership: Lead, mentor and inspire the IT Team to achieve operational excellence and strategic objectives.
Resource Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to meet strategic priorities.
Technology Infrastructure: Oversee the maintenance, enhancement and security of the school’s technology infrastructure. Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
Professional Development: Provide training and support for faculty and staff to maximize the effective use of technology.
Vendor Relations: Manage vendor relations, procurement, and implementation of technology systems.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, or related discipline is required; Master’s degree preferred
In-depth knowledge of K-12 education technology trends and best practices
Proven leadership experience in technology, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role, ideally in an educational setting.
Proven experience as an educator and learning coach, with at least 5 years of teaching and coaching experience, preferably in a K-12 environment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
