Poly Prep seeks applicants for the position of Middle School Spanish Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. We seek an enthusiastic and dedicated Spanish teacher with native or near-native fluency in Spanish, excellent communication skills, proficiency in diverse assessment tools and strategies, and a commitment to student-centered, interdisciplinary pedagogy. Knowledge of ACTFL standards and a passion for fostering language proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing are essential. Qualified applicants will have experience teaching a variety of Middle School Spanish levels, differentiating instruction for a wide range of learners, and incorporating state-of-the-art technology in the classroom. The ideal candidate will exhibit a passion for teaching Spanish; talent for working with diverse students, families, and colleagues; dedication to ongoing professional growth; and high levels of professionalism.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Teaching:
Teach four sections of Spanish in the Middle School
Work with individual students on an as-needed basis
Keep an accurate and up-to-date online gradebook, effectively and supportively communicate with students and families, and provide written and oral feedback on student progress consistently throughout the school year
Demonstrate an energetic commitment to professional development
Collaborate with the Middle and Upper School Spanish teachers, department, and department chair in developing unit plans, lesson plans, and assessments that reflect the goals and mission of the department and the school.
Additional Responsibilities:
Engage in meaningful Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging activities with students and faculty
Co-lead an advisory group
Co-advise an affinity or discussion group
Work on grade teams to ensure maximum student success
Communicate effectively and promptly with students, deans, and families
Attend and contribute to meetings during and after the school day, including but not limited to departmental, committee, divisional, and grade-level meetings
Attend community events throughout the school year
Accompany students on occasional curricular trips
Fulfill other supervisory duties as requested by the department chair and division head
Salary Range: $72,525 - $94,986

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A bachelor’s degree in Spanish or related disciplines is required. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: 2-5 years of teaching experience in a middle school environment preferred.
