Maret School seeks an experienced part-time Institutional Researcher. As a national leader in institutional research, Maret is looking to expand its IR program both internally and through its work with the Center for Institutional Research in Independent Schools.
The Institutional Researcher will work closely with Maret’s Director of Institutional Research to administer a slate of about fifteen existing annual surveys and data analysis systems. In addition, they will meet weekly with the Director of Institutional Research and bi-weekly with the Assistant Head: Curriculum Development. They will also meet periodically with trustees and administrative leadership teams to present and review results.
The Director of Institutional Research supervises this position.
As an Institutional Researcher, the successful candidate will:
Have demonstrated expertise in survey design and administration best practices;
Display mastery of software platforms related to institutional research including Google Forms, Google Sheets, Google Looker Studio, and Google Big Query;
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of statistical analysis methods;
Exhibit strengths in communication with the ability to explain analytical techniques and results to a wide range of audiences with varying levels of comfort with data;
Show a track record of leading institutional research initiatives in a school setting;
Have experience with bulk imports and building queries in Veracross;
Display experience and interest in a variety of independent school functional areas including admissions, academic outcomes, and student experience in a K-12 setting
Have a minimum of two years of experience in institutional research, database administration, and/or data analysis;
This is a part time (25% FTE) hybrid position. The majority of the work in this role will be completed remotely, but the ideal candidate will be expected to come to Maret’s campus periodically throughout the year. Compensation will be between $20,000 and $25,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is not eligible for benefits.
