St. Mary Academy-Bay View is seeking a Theology Teacher/Campus Minister for Grades 6-12 for the 2025-2026 school year. The candidate is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing theology classes that promote the academic, social-emotional, and spiritual growth of students in a dynamic all-girls school. Working with the Middle and Upper School team, the candidate will also be responsible for leading retreats and community service work to support and nurture students’ spiritual growth in alignment with the Mercy Values. Candidates must be committed to an all-girls and Mercy education. Specific grade levels and ministry responsibilities will be determined in conversation with the Department Chair and members of the Campus Ministry team.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Knowledge and experience teaching theology
Embed Mercy values and charism into theology lessons
Plan and lead service initiatives (e.g. visiting nursing homes)

Requirements include the following:
BA/BS degree in education, Master’s degree preferred
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Integrates instructional and recordkeeping strategies using Google Suite, and/or other appropriate technology
Understands and appreciates the developmental range of the age group
Employs high-quality instruction using evidence-based practices to support all learners
Adapts teaching methods, projects and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests
