TEACHING AT CASTILLEJA
At Castilleja we know that students thrive when learning happens within and beyond classroom walls and when students actively witness engagement in the greater community by the adults in their lives. Employees are invited to and supported as they connect with our larger programming, advise students, and inspire new ways to bring the mission alive on campus. We seek educators who aspire to engage differences with courage, honesty, intellectual curiosity, respect, and humility. The Vocal Music Teacher reports to the VPA Department Lead and Academic Leadership and works closely with other Arts teachers and with grade level colleagues. This position would ideally be 75% classroom: teaching beginning to advanced level classes in both the Middle School and Upper School, and 25% co-curricular: directing the music for school performances (including musicals) and advising student-led vocal groups, such as GLEE.
