Location: Cornwall, NY, 12520 Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Supervisor of Innovation Department School Level: High School Job Summary New York Military Academy (short as NYMA) is seeking an enthusiastic and student-centered STEAM Educator to lead innovation-focused courses and inspire high school students in project-based learning. This role is focused on teaching, curriculum development, and integrating AI into STEAM education, rather than lab management.
Key Responsibilities Develop and teach high school-level STEAM courses, integrating engineering, design thinking, and AI-driven learning. Lead hands-on projects, coding lessons, and interdisciplinary innovation challenges. Work with students on problem-solving, creativity, and real-world applications of STEM and AI. Collaborate with faculty to design cross-curricular learning experiences involving science, technology, and the arts. Introduce students to emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, IoT, and digital fabrication. Guide students in capstone projects, research, and entrepreneurial endeavors. Foster an inclusive and collaborative classroom environment, emphasizing creativity and critical thinking. Partner with external organizations, universities, or industry leaders to bring real-world projects and mentorship opportunities to students. Qualifications & Requirements Master’s degree in Education, Engineering, Design, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience in teaching, curriculum development, or facilitating STEAM programs. Strong background in project-based learning, AI integration, and interdisciplinary approaches to education. Knowledge of coding, robotics, digital media, or maker-based learning, with a focus on how technology enhances creativity. Passion for redefining education through innovation and AI-driven approaches. Excellent communication and student engagement skills. Preferred: Experience leading professional development for educators or designing AI- enhanced learning experiences.
