Description & Details:
Connelly School of the Holy Child is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and dynamic Events and Parent Engagement Manager to foster community engagement, plan impactful events, and strengthen relationships with parents and families. This individual will play a critical role in creating an inclusive, supportive, and vibrant school community for our families past and present. The ideal candidate will have experience in event planning or fundraising, a passion for education, and a commitment to enhancing parent involvement in the life of the school.
Key responsibilities:
Supports the Holy Child Parents’ Association and Subcommittees in collaboration with the School Division Heads and Head of Development. Related tasks are performed in conjunction with volunteers and include but are not limited to:
Scheduling meetings and coordinating logistics
Collaborating with Committee leads to establish agendas
Working with the treasurer to process payments and volunteer reimbursements
Ensuring the pipeline of volunteers for positions is reviewed and full
Creating materials and messaging in conjunction with the Communications Department to support the programs and events
Memorializing the processes to ensure continuity
Working with internal and external contacts to execute HCPA events
Overseeing all details the day-of events
Proactively promotes volunteerism within our parent community by reaching out to a wide variety of parents through personal outreach, new parent onboarding and working closely with Class representatives to ensure the pipeline for volunteer committees is full and current year needs are met.
Serves as the primary point of contact for the Spring Gala & Auction and oversees all event-related fundraising to meet budgeted goals
Manages and oversees the event logistics for all Development Department events
This individual will have an active presence on campus to ensure they may accurately represent how Holy Child is living out the mission of building the next generation of women of Actions Not Words.

volunteer management experience demonstrating an ability to listen and inspire others to lead
outgoing personality and comfort with public speaking
ability to work effectively and collaborate with others including superiors, colleagues, donors, volunteers, and other individuals inside and outside the school
experience with social media and digital communication platforms
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
high professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information
budgeting experience
commitment to embrace the school’s mission and values
strong understanding of, and respect for, Catholic faith, beliefs, and practice
Preferred Qualifications:
proficiency in Veracross, Raisers Edge, and/or OneCause
event budget management and vendor relations experience
knowledge of the specific needs and challenges of an all-girls educational environment
experience working in a K-12 educational setting

ability to work evenings and weekends as events require
Connelly School of the Holy Child Founded in 1961 by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus as a college preparatory school for girls grade 6-12. The school is part of a network of 33 Holy Child schools in the United States, Europe and Africa, which is guided by the educational philosophy of Cornelia Connelly. Holy Child enrolls approximately 300 students every year from the Washington, DC metropolitan area as well as across the globe. Holy Child creates a personal learning experience with an 8 to 1 student to faculty ratio and offers fine arts programs as well as competitive sports teams in soccer, field hockey, volleyball, basketball, cross country lacrosse and more. Service is part of the Holy Child curriculum and students last year completed 5,000 hours of community service.
