The Jones-Gordon School (JGS) is seeking a dedicated Reading Interventionist to provide structured, research-based literacy instruction to students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. As a Wilson® Accredited Training Partner School, JGS is committed to evidence-based reading instruction and offers paid professional development in Wilson Reading System® and other structured literacy programs.
Position Overview
The Reading Interventionist will work in small-group settings (2-4 students per period), providing explicit, systematic literacy instruction using Wilson Reading System® (WRS) and other structured reading interventions. The ideal candidate is a student-centered educator with experience in structured literacy instruction and multisensory reading approaches.
Key Responsibilities
Provide small-group, structured literacy instruction aligned with the Science of Reading.
Implement Wilson Reading System® (WRS) and other research-based reading interventions.
Utilize explicit, systematic, and multisensory instructional methods to support student learning.
Monitor student progress through data-driven assessments and individualized learning plans.
Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to support literacy development school-wide.
Participate in paid professional development to deepen expertise in Wilson Reading System® and other literacy programs.
Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that builds student confidence and success.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education, reading, special education, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
Experience teaching structured literacy or reading intervention (experience with dyslexia preferred).
Knowledge of the Science of Reading and evidence-based literacy practices.
Wilson Reading System® certification (or willingness to obtain through school-supported training).
Experience working with small-group instruction and differentiated learning.
