Friends Select School is looking for a new part time Development Associate to provide operational and administrative support to members of the development team. The ideal candidate is a self-directed problem solver who enjoys interacting with members of the community. This position will directly report to the Chief Development Officer. The schedule has some flexibility, but is expected to work 30 hours per week, preferably spread out over the course of 4 or 5 days.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate donor correspondence and notes to support cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts (print larger mailings: letters and envelopes)
Assist with Alumni Relations work, providing lists for Class Ambassadors, reunions, gatherings, responding to alumni requests, and more
Help with materials for events, meetings, and alumni activities such as background information, name tags, RSVPs, and more
Assist with the printing and mailing of acknowledgment letters and solicitation mailings
Support the maintenance of the accuracy and integrity of databases by ensuring that all information is kept current and up to date, with database coding
Obtain, organize, and mail donor gifts and alumni gifts to support stewardship efforts
Assist with donor research as needed
Assist with other development activities as needed
Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace
Experience with mail merges in Word, preferred
Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT, preferred
Ability to learn new software quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
