Essential Job Functions:
Teach 5 classes - core responsibilities may include Geometry, Algebra II, AP Precalculus, and AP Statistics
Professional communication with parents and wider community promoting student growth and history program
Commitment to ongoing professional development in and beyond the school

Outcomes:
Deliver an engaging, rigorous, student-centered math program in alignment with other faculty
Plan and sequence curriculum both vertically and horizontally. Plan and deliver conceptual units and lesson plans that align with throughline questions centered on developing understanding within the course and connected to classes in other subjects
Deliver thought-provoking, student-centered lessons that develop students’ analytical, communication, reading, and writing skills
Deliver an instructional program supportive of constructivist/inquiry-based practices. Incorporate intelligent use of educational technology in teaching and learning
Develop, utilize and embed best practice assessment approaches, including the use of rubrics, grade moderation and other student-centered practices
Provide differentiated instruction for students of varying engagement and readiness
Embrace a dynamic, fast-paced environment that is subject to nimble changes in support of students’ needs
Champion a culture of learning among faculty and staff, including a focus on best practice pedagogical approaches as aligned with age groups and child/student development
CompetenciesRequired:
A strong understanding of grade-level-appropriate math, along with the ability to assess and adapt instruction based on students' developmental readiness and learning needs, both at the classroom and individual levels.
A desire to work with students and teachers throughout the school (grades 3-12), and especially in grades 7-12 to ensure a spiraling curriculum.

Relevant Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent coursework and three years of full-time teaching or a Master's degree and one year of full-time teaching.

Retirement plan: Sage Ridge contributes 5% of gross annual salary to the 403(b) retirement plan with TIAA-Cref for full-time employees. Sage Ridge will match up to an additional 1% for a maximum total Sage Ridge contribution of 6%. Retirement contributions are vested over three years at a rate of 20% after completing one year of employment, 50% after completing two years and 100% after completing three years.
Tuition remission: 40% reduction of tuition per child at Sage Ridge per academic year for full-time employees.
Personal leave: Two personal leave days per academic year
Sick leave: 10 days per academic year accruing monthly. Sick leave may accrue year-to-year not to exceed 30 days.
