Position Summary:
The Maker/STEM Lab Coordinator will spearhead the development and management of our new Maker/STEM Lab space, which aligns with our strategic initiative to expand STEM/STEAM learning. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and experiential learning, providing students with opportunities to engage in robotics, coding, design, and engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
Build and Lead: Establish and manage a state-of-the-art Maker/STEM Lab, ensuring it supports creativity, innovation, and safety.
Teach and Inspire: Deliver hands-on lessons in coding, robotics, engineering, and design that ignite curiosity and a love of learning. We envision this as about 50% of the role.
Collaborate: Work closely with teachers across disciplines to integrate STEM into broader curriculum initiatives.
Engage Students: Encourage problem-solving and collaboration, equipping students with skills for the future.
Community Connection: Develop partnerships with local and global STEM leaders, creating opportunities for mentorship and real-world applications.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in STEM-related fields, education, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
Experience in maker education, project-based learning, or STEM instruction.
Proficiency with tools and technologies such as robotics kits, 3D printers, coding platforms, and woodworking equipment.
Passion for innovation, creativity, and fostering a love for STEM in young learners.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
