Trinity Episcopal School seeks a highly qualified teacher to join our World Languages department for the 2025-26 school year. The individual hired will teach Spanish to Kindergarten through Grade 4 students, actively promoting the study of Spanish, and furthering Trinity’s success in providing a rigorous and cohesive proficiency-based Spanish language and culture program.

native or near-native fluency in spoken and written Spanish,
strong background/content knowledge in Spanish language and grammar,
expertise in conversational language acquisition pedagogy and technologies,
passion for teaching students at the beginning stages of cognitive, social, and emotional development, and
a deep desire to impart on students that proficient communication, as well as understanding of and an appreciation for culture, are essential components to learning a language.
We seek to find teachers who are interested in working in a highly collaborative environment, working alongside colleagues daily to improve their practice. Teachers who flourish at Trinity are people who place a priority on professional learning and research-based practices and have high expectations for themselves and their students. We are looking for teachers who actively engage in the life of the school, bring new knowledge and enthusiasm to our team, and help lift the level of teaching and learning for colleagues and students in our PK-8 program.
Responsibilities include:
curriculum planning
implementing instruction to students in grades K-4
communicating with parents throughout the year through regular correspondence and through thrice-yearly conference reporting
work closely with Lower School division colleagues, specialists, administrators, as well as colleagues within the K-8 World Language Department, to ensure that all students make progress in accordance with the language department goals and our school’s mission and core values.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school, excellent teaching skills and character. Writing skills and strong verbal communication skills are expected. Ability to be an innovative, collaborative, and positive member of the faculty is required. Professional development and experience with ACTFL’s Standards for Foreign Language Learning are preferred.
