Compensation:
Compensation is competitive and includes meals when school is in session. Health and retirement benefits, including TIAA-CREF, are part of the compensation package. Funding exists to support advanced degree work and participation in professional growth opportunities such as conferences and workshops.

Job Summary: The Director of Student Success will lead and supervise the learning support program; ensure documentation is available for any student with accommodations and services; coach and collaborate with learning specialists, counselors, department deans, and faculty; provide direct support services to a subset of students.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with neurodiverse students and provide customized academic support to all individuals.
Meet individually with students and parents to understand the specific needs of students and how our program will support them
Review prospective student applications, including 504s, Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and neuro-psychological evaluations to determine suitability for admittance.
Design and implement strategies to improve executive functioning skills in students to ensure greater success both inside and outside the classroom.
Work closely with the mental health counselor, the health center, and administration to identify students who may need assistance.
Collaborate with faculty to ensure differentiated learning practices are implemented to support students in the classroom.
Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on their student’s progress.
Actively understand how our students engage with our academic program and work with the Dean of Faculty and Academics to identify particularly effective pedagogical practices that we wish to have coherently implemented across the curriculum.
Manage and oversee the work of other members of the Academic Support team as well as contracted third-party colleagues who support the work of the office.
Work with other faculty and tutors in our Student Success Center ensuring they are compliant with academic policies.
Coordinate psychoeducational testing for students.
Manage academic accommodations.
Coordinate accommodations for standardized tests with the College Board and ACT
Support students who are working through temporary, medically justified leave of absences.

Observes and enforces the School's policies and regulations.
Maintains qualifications for employment in accordance with institutional and accreditation guidelines.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required in a related field. Master’s Degree, learning behavior specialist, or equivalent degree preferred.
Classroom teaching experience preferred.
Teaching and/or experience working with adolescents who are overcoming academic-related challenges.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work as a team member with administrators, faculty, and staff
An understanding of developmentally appropriate strategies and practices for upper school students
Knowledge of assistive technology.
Must be able to handle multiple projects at once.
First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred.
Valid driver’s license.
