WORK LIFE BALANCE: In addition to a ten-month school year during which our staff are offered on average 33 days off (approximately 7 weeks) for scheduled holidays and school breaks, we provide generous preparation periods throughout each week, limiting the number of after work hours you will need to work — so that you can live the life you wish for — inside and outside of our school. Additionally, our students are dismissed midday each Friday in order for you to meet with your team and division, as well as plan, and prep.
EXTRAS You can build a private practice or tutor onsite during after school hours at low-cost reduced rates, available only to our Quad Prep staff.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
The IT Assistant will be a core member of Quad’s IT department. The IT Assistant will be asked to move around between both of our campuses in order to assist staff with IT related requests as they arise. This will include tasks such as: general computer troubleshooting, helping to setup speakers, projectors, TV’s, printers, and other various tech, assisting with staff member’s IT related questions, managing and distributing our school owned devices, keeping the IT closets clean and organized, helping to take IT inventory, assisting with tech ordering, investigating notifications from our antivirus software, and generally assisting the IT Manager with a wide roster of different tasks.
On the average day, the IT Assistant will have a few projects that they are working on in addition to remaining available to help with day to day IT requests as they come up. For the first few months of the job, the IT Assistant will primarily help with day to day IT requests and “helpdesk” style tasks. As the IT Assistant gets more familiar with our environment and the way that we operate, they will also be asked to pick up other recurring tasks such as managing vendors, helping with orders, working in our learning management system, helping with cyber security or network issues, and other admin related tasks.
The IT Assistant will be doing a lot of problem solving on a day to day basis. A teacher or staff member may approach the IT Assistant with a unique tech problem that the IT Assistant has not encountered before. In this scenario, the IT Assistant should work to find a solution through a combination of research and troubleshooting.
Occasionally, the IT Assistant will be asked to support the office assistants and will learn processes related to attendance and OPT.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a school setting. The Lower School is located on the 4th floor of one building and the Upper School is located on the 5th and 6th floors of another building; both buildings have elevators. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the school and occasionally traveling back and forth between campuses located approximately two blocks away.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is active and involves continuous standing, walking, and climbing stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items under 20 pounds. Typing is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time non-exempt position in an educational facility which is open eight hours a day. Administrative staff work year-round, including summer. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required. In general, though, hours are Monday-Friday 8am - 4pm.

Compensation is dependent upon experience and degree obtained.

Qualifications:
The IT Assistant should have an affinity for working with and for troubleshooting computers
The IT Assistant should be competent in their ability to research and find solutions for general IT related problems.
Must be patient and resourceful as it relates to identifying and fixing tech issues
Must have experience working with both Mac’s and PC’s
Must be flexible and ok with regularly switching gears and physically moving between our two campuses as needed
Must be organized and competent with maintaining spreadsheets and documents. The IT Assistant may receive multiple requests within a short period of time so it is important that they are able to stay organized create a system in which they do not lose track of requests
Must have good judgment in differentiating between when to move forward and when to contact the IT manager for guidance
Must have competency with Google Suite and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
Network engineering or computer programming experience is a plus
