The Greene School in West Palm Beach, Florida, is seeking an experienced Upper School Science Teacher.

The successful candidate will become part of an expanding Upper School program. In this role, the teacher will play an integral role in program and curriculum development as the school continues to develop. Additionally, we are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about developing and supervising a range of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for students. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching an advanced science curriculum to talented high school students.

Required Skills/Abilities: ? Experience in integrating technology into the curriculum ? Ability to work effectively with parents as a partner in each student’s educational experience ? Ability to use a variety of communication/teaching styles and methods ? The ability to hold students to a high and clearly articulated standard of performance ? Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task, as well as being self-motivated ? Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills ? Must be proficient in lesson planning and executing lessons ? The candidate should be flexible and adaptive and be able to work collaboratively within a professional learning community with colleagues and administration ? Strong interpersonal skills ? Ability to respect confidentiality and consistently exercise discretion and good business judgment
Education and Experience: ? A master’s degree with a minimum of three years teaching high school science; an advanced science degree or advanced degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
