Faculty, Middle School Computer Science Begins August 2025
Job Summary: The Middle School is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach 5 sections of computer science, robotics, and programming. This position will begin in August of 2024 for the 2024-25 school year. The ideal candidate will have the ability to design and implement a computer science curriculum that is appropriate for middle school students.
Enthusiasm for working in a middle school environment, a demonstrated commitment to innovative pedagogy as well as the ability to thrive in a collaborative community that values creativity and independence in the classroom are all essentials. A sense of humor and a positive and ambitious attitude are highly desirable.
Schedule: Teaching positions are based on the school year (August through May). During the school year, there are three school vacations – one week at Thanksgiving, two weeks in December, and two weeks in March – plus holidays, personal and sick days.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in education, computer science or a closely related field required
Minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably with middle school students
Must demonstrate an understanding of robotics and basic/intermediate programming.
Experience with or interest in learning to coach FIRST Lego Robotics
