Position Overview

As an Early Childhood Lead Teacher in our "Nest" division, you will play a transformative role in developing students’ social and emotional intelligence while igniting their passion for learning. You will introduce foundational skills in literacy, science, math, and inquiry-based learning in a nurturing, play-based environment.

Key Responsibilities
Inspire Emerging Learning Skills: Design and implement an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports both academic and social-emotional growth.
Foster Exploration through Play & Instruction: Create a joyful, student-centered classroom that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a growth mindset.
Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with fellow teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects and ensure curriculum alignment.
Communicate with Families: Maintain open, consistent communication with parents about student progress and classroom experiences.
Create a Supportive Environment: Establish clear classroom routines and build a strong sense of belonging and community.
Additional Responsibilities
Work closely with the Head of The Nest in a full-day Early Childhood program (Monday-Friday).
Participate in school committees, events, and extracurricular activities.
Attend faculty meetings, engage in professional development, and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Actively engage in our House System (think Harry Potter), fostering cross-age relationships and community spirit.
Support our commitment to teaching public speaking and presentation skills from an early age.
Qualifications
Classroom experience teaching at the Early Childhood level, including curriculum development.
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Psychology, Family Studies, or a related field.
Deep understanding of child development and best practices in Early Childhood Education.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of young learners.
Strong collaborative spirit and openness to innovation in teaching.
Flexibility, optimism, creativity, and a growth mindset.
Passion for fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, colleagues, and families.
Organizational skills and ability to create engaging, structured learning experiences.

Our location is special, and it attracts employees from both the Denver metro area and Evergreen. We are twenty minutes from Denver, twenty minutes from Evergreen Lake, and thirty minutes from Echo ski resort. Our students get outside and this position may have the opportunity to hike, bike, camp, ski and take both domestic and international trips with students.
