Seacrest Country Day School is a vibrant, independent, PK-12, college preparatory day school enrolling over 400 students on a 40-acre campus in Naples, Florida.  Founded in 1983, Seacrest is committed to fostering a safe, student-centered learning community where our students grow and develop academically, personally and socially.  Our comprehensive educational program fosters critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication and a lifetime love of learning.

Job Summary:

This teacher will be rigorous and precise in class, field, and laboratory work. The teacher will be well versed with the contemporary and problem-solving dimensions of scientific inquiry. This teacher will participate collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff to promote the general well-being of the school community in a manner that supports and promotes Seacrest’s Mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with grade-level teams to address the needs of the whole child
• Develop an engaging Sustainability program that unfolds over a series of elective offerings
• Integrate the teaching of effective organization and study skills
• Demonstrate effective written and oral communication (parent conferences, written correspondence including narrative reports)
• Effectively monitor and manage student learning using a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student progress
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of various learners
• Create a supportive and inclusive environment and develop respectful relationships with students by using conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques within the classroom
• Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning
• Maintain an effective, safe, and well-organized classroom
• Integrate technology appropriately in the classroom
• Other responsibilities include serving as an advisor to a group of students and sponsoring clubs as needed
