St. Mark’s Summer is a camp for children ages 3 - 14 years old that runs during the months of June, July, and August on the campus of St. Mark’s School. The programs include traditional day camp, enrichment camp, sports specialty camps, extended day, and after-camp programs. The entirety of camp programming, planning, marketing, enrollment, staff hiring, and management/execution of camp is managed by the Auxiliary Programs department throughout the year.
General Summary
The Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs works in support of the school’s auxiliary (non-tuition revenue) programs and operational initiatives. This includes logistical support, optimization of efficiencies and effectiveness, external constituent relations, interdepartmental collaborations, and taking the initiative to better all of the programs and experiences of St. Mark's School.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary oversight of web-based enrollment management system (CampBrain) to include family, camper, and summer staff support; development and implementation of efficient and effective systems and reports; innovative use of CampBrain features in support of optimized summer systems and user experience
Support of the business operations of summer camp, including budget projections and analysis, monthly reconciliation of revenue and expenses, and collaboration with the Business Office as needed
Collaboration with the Director of Operations on cross-departmental and systems development and implementation
Serve in a director of summer operations role during the camp season, including management of the camp office (external communications, incoming calls/emails, attendance, schedules, and rosters, etc)
Job Specifications:
Familiarity and comfort with computers and databases, including Google Workspace, Excel/Google Sheets, and CampBrain (or similar)
