SUMMARY:
The Masters School seeks an Physical Education and Athletics Faculty for a full-time 10-month position. The Physical Education and Athletics Faculty’s primary responsibility will be to work with the Director of Athletics in overseeing the day-to-day needs of the Joan Smith Hamill Natatorium as well as the Physical Education program for the Upper and Middle School.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees daily operation of the Joan Smith Hamill Natatorium
- Develops and implements Aquatics programming for grades 5-12
- Develops and implements Physical Education programming for grades 5-12
- Oversees the day to day operation of the Physical Education Department
- Teach Middle School Physical Education classes.
- Coach three seasons
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Athletics and/or Head of School
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Athletics Management or related concentration
- Masters in Education preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion and a high degree of cultural competency.
- Have a strong work ethic
- Have strong communication skills
- Be attentive to details
- Be a self motivator
- Be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Have a sense of humor
