Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Experiential Learning Program Coordinator, The Mitchell Leadership Institute to enhance its strong classroom and campus-wide curriculum. This is a non-exempt, full-time, 11^th month position. The ideal candidate will serve as a welcoming presence for all stakeholders. Also, she/he will have a strong attention to detail and successfully pass a criminal background check. This position will report directly to the Director, Mitchell Leadership Institute.

Overview:

The Mitchell Leadership Institute seeks to inspire the next generation of female leaders with early exposure to a wide range of careers. By pairing students with professionals in fields of interest, the program aims to cultivate confidence and a greater understanding of the diverse career opportunities available to women. Our goal is to help students explore potential career paths and learn the skills necessary to lead and succeed in the professional workplace.

Responsibilities:

- The Coordinator will be accountable for the process development, planning, execution, oversight, and evaluation of a comprehensive program for experiential learning (internships, shadow days, externships, etc.) with the goal of having every graduate experience this opportunity.

- The Coordinator will work directly for the Director of the Mitchell Leadership Institute and closely with school administration, faculty, and staff, students, alumnae, and community partners to ensure the program runs smoothly and achieves its mission of empowering young women to explore diverse career paths.

- The Coordinator will further mature and advance the Leadership Speaker Series program, bringing alumnae, parents, donors, and thought leaders to campus. This includes managing the process, campus-wide, so that school leadership, including the Alumnae, Advancement, and President’s Office, are aware of guests in advance.

Qualifications:

- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written

- Strong project management skills

- Initiative to build, grow, and innovate a start-up program

- Data management skills

- Familiarity with the greater Baltimore region (profit/nonprofit, etc.)

- Other duties as assigned - may assume some teaching responsibilities as needed

Additional Requirements:

• Subject to a criminal background check prior to employment
• Subject to a Child Protection Services screening prior to employment
• Subject to a MSDE Employment History Review screening for Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Misconduct

Salary is commensurate with experience and degree earned and ranges from $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 annually. This position is eligible for full-time benefits including personal and sick leave benefits.
