Garrison Forest School is seeking an experienced individual to fill the position as Registrar. The Registrar plays a critical role in supporting the Head of Upper School, Director of College Counseling, and Associate Director of College Counseling while maintaining accurate academic records. As an integral member of the Upper School community, the Registrar interacts daily with students, parents, faculty, staff, alumnae, and college representatives. This role requires proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google applications, and comfort with both new and existing technologies. The Registrar’s responsibilities fall under the College Counseling umbrella, with additional support as needed.
This position will start July 2025 and will be part-time at a .60 FTE. The annual salary range for this position is $28,000-$36,000 based on years of experience and education level; the exact compensation will be discussed during the hiring process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student files and academic records in Veracross, serving as the primary resource for database management. Complete necessary training to assist faculty and staff in utilizing the system effectively.
Oversee official transcripts and grade reports, ensuring all prior school transcripts are on file and responding to alumnae record requests.
Support the Head of Upper School in grade reporting, including verifying GPAs and semester Honor Rolls.
Process student withdrawals and transfers for the Upper School.
Provide support for the Cum Laude selection process at all stages, including preparing and organizing academic reports for committee review and ordering materials.
Collect and verify student information to coordinate diploma orders and post-graduation communication, ensuring all commencement-related records are accurate and complete.
Qualifications:
B.A. degree or equivalent – desirable
Prior experience working with children in an upper school with Veracross preferred
