Computer Science Teacher
Malden Catholic, a Xaverian Brothers Sponsored Codivisional Middle and High School for young men 
and women, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate for a Computer Science Teaching Position 
to join our faculty and teach Exploring Computer Science to 9th- grade students for the 2025-2026 
school year. Master’s degree in the field and minimum 2 years teaching experience preferred. This 
is a foundational course designed to introduce students to computer science concepts, 
problem-solving, and digital literacy in a hands-on and inquiry- based learning environment.

The ideal candidate is passionate about equity in computer science education, has experience with 
or is willing to be trained in the Exploring Computer Science (ECS) curriculum, and is committed to 
fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom culture.
The Teacher:
•  Teaches 5 periods, courses as assigned
•  Models the Catholic values of the school.
•  Inspires, promotes, and nurtures the secondary level education of students by planning and 
tailoring courses of study; monitoring, assisting with, and assessing academic efforts.
•  Delivers the Exploring Computer Science curriculum to 9th-grade students, including units on 
human-computer interaction, problem solving, web design, programming, computing and data analysis, 
and robotics.
•  Creates a supportive and equitable classroom environment that encourages student participation 
and curiosity.
•  Implements project-based and inquiry-driven instructional strategies.
•  Provides a safe classroom environment conducive to learning and attentive to varied learning 
styles.
•  Collaborates with colleagues to align curriculum and share best practices.

•  Participates in school meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning 
sessions.
•  Assesses and monitors student progress using a variety of methods and provides timely 
feedback.
•  Communicates regularly with students, parents, and guardians.
