Long and Short-Term Substitute Teachers
The Schenck School is an independent day school, located in Atlanta, Georgia for students with dyslexia, grades K through 6. The School was founded in 1959 by David T. Schenck and uses the Orton-Gillingham approach. Our model is an intensive remediation model in which students come to us at all different grade levels, with varying degrees of dyslexia. Students stay for an average of 2 to 3 years and outplace to other schools when academically prepared. There are two highly trained teachers in each classroom, with a five-to-one student/teacher ratio providing the excellence in dyslexia remediation the School is well known for. PURPOSE/GOALS
