For 60 years, The Gateway School has transformed the lives of bright children who experience academic difficulty as a result of language-based learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, reading and writing disorders), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), executive function disorder, or auditory processing difficulties. Located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, Gateway enrolls approximately 155 students between the ages of 5-14. In small classes with a low student-to-teacher ratio, faculty and therapists meet students where they are, individualize instruction accordingly, and help them to become skilled, strategic, independent learners, capable of successfully advocating for themselves in their lives beyond Gateway.
The Gateway School is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for the 2025-2026 school year. The Occupational Therapist will provide therapeutic intervention in a small group setting and collaborate with teachers and other professionals on how to best meet students’ needs. The ideal candidate is an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong desire to work in a collaborative environment and a commitment to treating students with language-based learning disabilities.
The Gateway School offers a competitive compensation package and a comprehensive professional development program. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000.
