University High School of Indiana seeks a dynamic educator to teach Spanish as a 6-week part-time (60%) maternity leave replacement from approximately the first week in October 2025 through Thanksgiving 2025. This position will cover 3 sections of Spanish 3. The ideal candidate will have a passion for language instruction at the high school level, a desire to collaborate with other members of the faculty and staff, and a willingness to be involved at University beyond the classroom.

Faculty members at University High School are responsible for all tasks related to instruction, including planning, implementing, and assessing a curriculum that fits the school’s mission to expand the hearts and minds of its students through academic, creative and physical achievement.

This is a part time job and does not have benefits, other than Worker's Compensation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Spanish Education, or a related field required; master’s or other advanced degree preferred
• Ability to teach all levels of high school Spanish; teaching experience strongly preferred
• Advanced or near-native fluency in Spanish

• Interest in collaborating with world language colleagues on curriculum, assessment, and professional development
• Facility with technology required
• Background check and current authorization to be employed in the U.S. required
