Position Description
| Serving approximately 180 students in pre-kindergarten through the eighth-grade, Dutchess Day School is seeking an experienced, full-time fourth-grade homeroom teacher (maternity leave) for the spring of the 2025-2026 school year; specifically, October-February. The ideal candidate will lead all aspects of homeroom, including: English/language arts, mathematics, history/social studies, and character educator. |
The ideal candidate would have 3-5 years of teaching experience and a solid understanding of the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of elementary school students. A bachelor’s degree in education or related field is required and a master’s degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, and is motivated to work collaboratively within a robust teaching team. This position includes a month (paid) for shadowing, and learning from the current Grade 4 Teacher. Salary: $150.00-$250 per diem, commensurate with experience and advanced degrees.
