Garrison Forest School, an independent all-girls day and boarding school in Owings Mills, MD, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach for the upcoming spring 2026 season. Our coaches are integral members of our community, helping to develop student-athletes both on and off the field.  Seasonal Stipend can range from $2,000 to $4,000 based on experience.

Description:
Garrison Forest School is seeking an experienced and visionary Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach to lead our program through a pivotal transition period. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who is passionate about player development, program-building, and positioning GFS lacrosse back in the IAAM A Conference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute high-level practices and game strategies that prepare student-athletes for elite competition.

• Foster a team culture rooted in hard work, accountability, and resilience during this rebuilding phase.

• Collaborate closely with the Athletic Department to recruit and retain student-athletes.

• Mentor and guide assistant coaches and middle school coaches to build program depth.

• Serve as a role model who promotes sportsmanship, leadership, and the core values of Garrison Forest School.

Qualifications:

• Significant coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level required; head coaching experience preferred.

• Strong understanding of IAAM competition and what it takes to be successful in the A Conference.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Committed to empowering female athletes through positive and purposeful coaching.
