Rooted in the Science of Learning, our academic program is built on the belief that all students can achieve mastery when provided with the right instruction and support. Mastery reflects the conviction that every student is capable of meaningful academic growth. We pursue this through a competency-based approach, where instruction aligns with clearly defined learning objectives and targets — observable demonstrations of knowledge and skills. Teachers assess progress based on these targets and provide timely, constructive feedback to guide continued growth.
In mathematics, this approach combines explicit instruction with opportunities for classroom discussion, scholarly inquiry, and the development of critical thinking and reasoning skills. When appropriate, project-based learning is incorporated to connect abstract mathematical concepts to real-world applications, helping students stay engaged, informed, and prepared for a dynamic world.
