Position: Admission Office, Admission Associate Location: Newton Country Day School, Newton, MA Schedule: Twelve month, full-time (8 am-4 pm) Salary: $59,000 - $65,000
Reports to: Director of Enrollment Management
Position Summary Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart is seeking a full-time, 12-month Admission Associate to begin in mid-August, 2025. This entry-level, in-person position is a key member of the Admission Team, acting as a liaison for prospective families and assisting with all phases of the admission process, from initial inquiry to enrollment. The Admission Associate serves as a welcoming, professional representative of the school, embodying and promoting the mission and values of Newton Country Day School.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Admission Office in attracting, engaging, and enrolling mission-appropriate students.
Act as a primary resource for prospective students and their families, offering guidance throughout the admission journey, from inquiry to final enrollment.
Schedule, coordinate, and lead campus tours for visiting families.
Follow up website inquiries by calling and/or sending information; make calls to confirm appointments, schedule placement tests, etc.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with faculty and staff members.
Represent the school at admission events both on and off campus, such as secondary school fairs and feeder school visits, including some evenings and weekends.
Help build relationships with community-based organizations and assist with outreach to under-represented communities in order to increase the diversity of the student body.
Contribute to planning and hosting events for prospective and newly admitted families, such as Parent Coffees, Open House, Curriculum Night, and Revisit/Welcome Events.
Provide administrative support for initiatives related to the application process, such as printing admission materials, preparing name tags for events, supporting the tuition assistance application process, etc.
Help manage and support the Student Ambassador Program.
Support the school Spirit Store, assisting with inventory orders and pop up events at homecoming, accepted student days, etc.
Engage in the broader school community by attending student events such as athletic games, theatrical performances, and academic showcases.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment Management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in education. communications, marketing or a related field.
Strong communications, writing, and organizational skills; detail oriented.
Comfortable with technology such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, knowledge of platforms such as Ravenna and Veracross is a plus.
Ability to manage sensitive information with the highest degree of confidentiality.
Comfortable speaking with students ages 9-18 and their parents/caregivers.
Comfortable making calls and speaking on the phone.
Interest in working with and expanding a diverse applicant pool.
Knowledge of independent schools is a plus.
Spanish or Mandarin fluency is a plus.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Works at a desk and a computer screen for extended periods of time.

This position requires taking prospective families on full campus tours in all weather conditions.
