Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Generalist/Payroll Associate to support our human resources functions, with a strong emphasis on payroll processing. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our staff are supported with timely, accurate compensation and that our HR operations reflect the values of our Quaker community.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience processing payroll (required)
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field preferred
Familiarity with employment law, payroll tax regulations, and HR best practices
Experience with HRIS and payroll software (iSolved preferred)
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Essential Knowledge & Skills:
Payroll (Primary Focus - Approx. 50-60%)
Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for faculty and staff using payroll system iSolved
Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions, including earnings, deductions, and benefit contributions
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries in a timely, supportive manner
Collaborate with the Business Office on benefits, retirement plan contributions, and year-end reporting (e.g., W-2s)
HR Generalist Duties
Maintain employee records and assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
Track and manage paid time off, FMLA, and other leave types
Assist in recruitment processes: posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
Ensure compliance with HR-related policies and procedures, and participate in policy updates and implementation
Maintain HRIS data integrity and support internal reporting needs
