Position Summary

An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist with at least 2 years of experience within a K–8 school setting located in Culver City, CA. This role is ideal for professionals seeking valuable experience in educational speech-language pathology and aiming to make a meaningful impact on students' communication development.

Note that this role is part-time with potential to become full-time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language assessments for students in kindergarten through 8th grade.
  
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support communication goals.
  
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate speech therapy into the classroom environment.
  
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of student progress and treatment outcomes.
  
• Participate in school staffing meetings and contribute to goal-setting.
• Collaborate with a speech and language team.
  

Hourly Pay: $35-40/hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit in on meetings and work on a computer for long periods. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications:

Required

• 2 years of experience working as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
• 2 years of experience working in a school environment.
• Completion of a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• ASHA Certified.
• Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license, or in the process of obtaining one.
• Strong understanding of pediatric speech and language disorders.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse student populations and school staff.

Preferred

• 3-5 years of experience working as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
• 3-5 years of experience working in educational settings preferred.
