Viewpoint School is currently seeking a Maintenance Coordinator. The Maintenance Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of campus facilities during non-standard hours. This position supports weekend and evening facility access, maintenance work orders, and custodial tasks, particularly during external group usage of school grounds.

Schedule:

Thursday through Monday

• Weekdays (Thursday, Friday, Monday): 12:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
• Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Primary Responsibilities:  

Facility Access & Oversight

• Open and secure buildings for scheduled weekend/evening events
• Monitor facility usage to ensure compliance with school policies
• Serve as on-site point of contact for external groups

Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform minor repairs (e.g., lighting, plumbing, door hardware)
• Respond to urgent maintenance issues during assigned shifts
• Report larger maintenance needs to the Facilities team

Custodial Support

• Ensure restrooms and common areas are clean and stocked
• Perform light cleaning before, during, and after events
• Assist with trash removal and basic grounds upkeep

Safety & Security

• Coordinate with security on routine checks for safety hazards
• Support emergency response protocols if needed
• Ensure all equipment and tools are used safely and stored properly

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:  

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or custodial work
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Availability to work weekends and evenings consistently
• Basic knowledge of building systems and maintenance tools
• Experience in school or campus environments
• Familiarity with work order systems or maintenance software
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Compensation: $27-$30 per hour based on experience.
