ABOUT THE WILLOWS: The Willows Community School, located in Culver City, is a Developmental Kindergarten through 8th grade non-profit, co-educational independent school enrolling 475 students annually. Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting and Administrative Support professional to join our Business Office. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in accounting and business office operations, with the potential for additional hours depending on business needs.
Reports to: Controller
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Help with payroll data entry and reconciliations
Process daily cash receipts and deposits
Support month-end and year-end closing tasks
Provide general administrative support as needed
Take on additional accounting or office tasks as needed
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently pursuing or completed a degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred, but not required
Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office; QuickBooks experience a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Organized, reliable, and able to prioritize tasks
Able to handle confidential information with integrity
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
COMPENSATION:
This part-time, non-exempt position offers a salary range of $25-$35/hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Flexible, up to 20 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours based on the school’s needs. On-site only.
