Equity and Inclusion Team Leaders (1-2 per campus) and Cohort Leaders
Core Purpose
To steward Prospect Sierra’s equity and inclusion journey by strengthening systems, building community, and preparing students, faculty, and families to lead with courage, perspective, and justice.
Position Summary
The Director of Equity & Inclusion is a senior administrative leader. Also, this individual will be a strategic leader, systems-builder, and community convener who ensures that Prospect Sierra’s E&I commitments are visible, sustainable, and fully lived across the school. This role balances vision and practice, supporting faculty, staff, and families through courageous conversations, while embedding equity and belonging into daily school life.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Stewardship: Lead, maintain, and strengthen existing structures (bias protocols, gender inclusion policies, cohort/affinity programs, holiday/observance practices), ensuring consistency and institutional memory.
Community Coaching & Support: Coach faculty and staff in translating E&I vision into daily practice; provide tools and support for navigating complex conversations.
Vision & Strategy: Partner with leadership to clarify and advance Prospect Sierra’s E&I vision, growing from strong values, to sustainable systems, to a bold culture of equity and inclusion.
Family & Community Engagement: Build alignment with families through education, communication, and dialogue.
Collaboration: Work closely with the admin team, E&I team leaders, and cohort/affinity leaders to ensure shared responsibility for E&I initiatives.
Student Leadership: Support students as changemakers by fostering opportunities for agency, identity development, and advocacy.

Courageous and humble; able to hold complexity and maintain focus, hold multiple perspectives, messiness, and discomfort.
Systems thinker with the ability to sustain and scale practices across divisions.
Skilled at coaching, conflict navigation, and building capacity in others.
Deep understanding of equity, justice, and inclusion in independent school contexts.
Experience & Qualifications
Prior leadership experience in equity, inclusion, or justice-focused education.
Demonstrated success in developing and sustaining E&I systems and policies.
Experience coaching adults and facilitating professional development.
Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills across diverse stakeholders.
