St. Johns Country Day School is looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic AR/AP Manager to work closely with the Controller in managing daily financial operations and ensuring accurate, timely reports. This is a full-time, in-person position for 12 months, reporting directly to the Controller. 

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of accounts receivable and student billing operations to ensure accurate and timely processing and recording of all transactions.
• Manage all aspects of Florida Tax Credit Scholarship/Step-Up entry, collaborating with the Director of Enrollment Management.
• Research, resolve, and communicate with families regarding all inquiries and issues related to student billing.
• Deposit all physical checks received.
• Manage all aspects of accounts receivable to ensure accurate and timely processing and recording of all transactions.
• Assist in improving AR/AP processes, implementing internal controls, and streamlining workflows.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal controls and school financial policies and procedures.
• Support year-end closing procedures and annual audit preparations.
• Provide financial support to the broader school community as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or financial role (non-profit/private school preferred).
• Strong knowledge of AR/AP best practices.
• Experience with Veracross Tuition Management is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
