St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School seeks an Episcopal Chaplain & Religion Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Are you passionate about supporting and journeying with young people as they explore the deep questions of life? Are you excited about the thought of engaging students in discussion and learning? Serving on a four-person chaplaincy team, the broad responsibilities of the Upper School Chaplain & Religion Teacher position include:
Teaching Responsibilities:
Teach three sections of Religion classes in the Upper School (likely a combination of Biblical Studies, Ethics, and World Religions)
Collaborate with other Religion teachers to support and enhance the curricula for the Religion classes
Participate in school-wide and departmental meetings, professional development programs, and other responsibilities associated with an Upper School Faculty role
Chaplain Responsibilities:
Provide liturgical and pastoral support at the Upper School campus and to the Senior Chaplain
Collaborate with the Chaplaincy team to offer opportunities for faith formation, interfaith dialogue, Bible study, confirmation classes, and other learning opportunities
??Partner with the Chaplaincy team to provide prayer and pastoral support at school events, offering guidance in moments of both celebration and crisis
Enthusiastically support the mission and Episcopal identity of SSSAS
